Description of Work
This supplement authorizes and provides compensation for the additional services necessary to provide plans,
specifications, and engineer's estimate for water and sanitary sewer facility upgrades associated with the widening
of Tremont Street, as identified in the "Utilities for Tremont Street Widening Project" memo, dated 4 October 2006
and sent to Maher Abed on 6 October 2006.

desires to supplement the agreement entered into with BERGER/ABAM Engineers Inc.
and executed on
8/10/2005 and identified as Agreement No.
STPUS-6601 (004)
All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:
Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read:

Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days for
completion of the work to read: N/A

Section V, PAYMENT, shall be amended as follows:

as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, and by this reference made a part of this supplement.

SUPPLEMENT NO. 2
SCOPE OF SERVICES
(Design of Water and Sanitary Sewer Facilities)
TREMONT STREET WIDENING
(SR 16 to Port Orchard Blvd.)
The services to be furnished by BERGER/ARAM Engineers Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the
CONSULTANT), upon receipt of written direction to proceed from the City of Port Orchard
(hereinafter referred to as the AGENCY), are supplemented as follows.
The CONSULTANT shall provide the following.
■ Preliminary Design (30 Percent Submittal)
— Coordinate concept water and sewer facility plans to finalize scope
— Conduct field investigation to verify locations of existing utilities and meet with Public
Works staff to gather any relevant data on existing conditions
— Assess the Harrison Lift Station to include capacity and serviceability. As a part of this
effort, as -built records will be gathered, key individuals from Public Works staff will be
interviewed, and a field assessment of the lift station will be made.
— Assist the AGENCY in the definition and coordination of utility requirements for future
development along the project boundaries
— Develop water and sanitary sewer system alignments
— Provide a design analysis report with associated calculations
— Provide an engineers construction cost estimate
— Perform internal quality control of the submittal and make appropriate revisions
— Attend a review meeting and provide responses to review comments
■ Plans, Specifications, and Engineers Estimate
The CONSULTANT shall revise preliminary project plans, specifications, and construction cost
estimates to reflect the revised preliminary design. Associated subtasks include
— Plan and profile drawings for water and sanitary sewer facilities and associated details
— Specifications
— Design analysis and calculations
— Engineers estimate
— Review of submittals for quality control
— Field investigation to verify design assumptions
— Attend review meetings and provide response to review comments
