RE: Change Order #1
Proposed Fill at Plazas and Bay Street
Bay Street between Robert Geiger Street and Frederick Avenue
Port Orchard, WA
Dear Ms. Cook,
KA Project No. 102-21024
KA Proposal No. G21061 WAP
For this project, we were originally contracted to provide geotechnical engineering investigation. Our
recent field investigation included drilling of exploratory soil borings. During the drilling we noticed strong
odors in the drill cuttings of two of the soil borings. The drill cuttings were drummed (2 drums) and
transported to our drilling subcontractor's facility. Due to the odor, the drill cuttings cannot be disposed
conventionally without performing analytical testing, which was not included in our original scope of work.
Thus, we are requesting this change order to cover the cost for analytical testing, result analyses and proper
disposal of the drill cutting.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss this request, please do not hesitate to contact us at (360) 598-
