To the Honorable City: Council
City of Port Orchard
Port Orchard, Washington
Honorable Councilpersons,
RE,.- The vacation of City of Port Orchard property - adjacent to High Ave.,
West of Port Orchard Blvd. '.
We respectfully submit herein a petition for the vacation of the City of
Port Orchard property described as follows'
That portion of High Avenue lying Northeasterly of the Southeasterly
prolongation of the SouthtlTesterly line of Lot 5, Block 21, Nob Hill
Addition to Port Orchard, as per plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats?
I 7, records of Ktsap County, Washington, and Northwesterly of_
a 2—foot wide reserve strip, as delineated on the face of said plat.
Please refer to the sketch enclosed and you ttiill note. that the property
petitioned is adjacent. to' the City of Port Orchard right of way for High
Ave. on the south, and on the north by property being purchased by Herbert
D. Chaffey, the president of Wick Homes, Inc., and therefore involves no
other property -owner or agency.
As you will also see by the attached 'sketch,.the property to the north is
very narrow and irregular, but with the addition of the property petitioned
for vacation, an ideal small office building site would result, allo-vring
enough area for proper landscaping and green areas.whi.ch would be an asset
to the properties and the community.
Mr. Chaffey and/or Wick Homes, Inc. do also agree herein to pay the assessed
value as determined by the`Kitsap County assessors records for the City of
Port Orchard property petitioned to be vacated.
Sincerely,
Robert E. Helm
