A RESOLUTION of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, that
a state of potential emergency exists and request that the Urban
Arterial Board consider upgrading the priority rating of Pottery
Boulevard from item 8 to item 1, as listed in the Urban Arterial
Needs Study, page 3, collector study section 1003(002) Pottery
Boulevard, Tremont Street to SR 16.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard,
Washington, as follows:
The proposed "Trident Base Project" located at Bangor has
caused concern both in the business and domestic community relating
to complexes, traffic loads, accesses, development patterns and
main traffic patterns as development of SR 16 will directly affect
the City.

It is evident that unless consideration is given to completion
of construction of Port Orchard Boulevard (Pottery Avenue) the
center of the City will be isolated and no utilization of the
Sedgewick Interchange is possible.
Part of the City's concern is caused by anticapated southerly
annexation of a, proposed major shopping and housing development
plus several planned unit housing developments that are on the
drawing boards.
