A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, .
WASI]INGTON, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, APPROV-
ING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO
THE COUNTY OF KITSAP, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION,
PURSUANT. TO LAWS OF 1953, CHAPTER 133, SECTION
1, SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard, Washington, a municipal
corporation, by and through its City Council, has received an offer from the
County of Kitsap, a municipal corporation, providing for the transfer of the
following described property belonging to the said City of Port Orchard, to -wit:
That part of the SE 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 34, Township 24 North,;
Range 1 East, W.M. , in Kitsap County, Washington, described;
as follows: Beginning at the South quarter corner of said Section
34; thence along the South line of said Section 34, N 88' 17' 27"
W 369.05 ft. to the true point of beginning; thence N 88' 17' 27"
W 760.00 ft. to the Easterly margin of Old Clifton Road; thence
along said margin N 22' 55' 10" E 712.72 ft. to the beginning of
a curve to the right having a radius of 686.20 ft. ; thence 38.50
ft. along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 30 12'
54"; thence S 88' 17' 27" E 477.04 ft.-; thence along a line par- .
allel with. the North -South centerline of said Section 34, S 00 52''
34" W 700.00 ft. to the true point of beginning. EXCEPT for
Southerly 30 ft. Containing 9.37 Acres;
on the following terms and conditions: That the said property is to be trans-
ferred to the County of Kitsap for the sole purpose of locating the proposed
Kitsap County Juvenile Home thereon, and should the County of Kitsap fail to
locate the said juvenile home thereon within five years from the date of this
resolution, the above described property shall automatically revert to the
City of Port Orchard without further action being necessary; and
M WHEREAS, the transfer of the above described property for the
purpose aforesaid is for the common benefit of the citizens of Port Orchard,
and the City Council. of the City of Port Orchard has hereby determined that
such property is not necessary to its needs, and is surplus and excess to its
foreseeable needs,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Port Orchard that, subject to approval of the Superior Court of Kitsap
County, Washington, pursuant to Chapter 133, Section 1, Laws of 1953, the
aforementioned transfer be and it hereby is approved upon the terms and
conditions hereinbef ore set forth.
