Disposal of Dead Animals
All garbage cans and refuse shall be accessible to the
collector and within thirty (30) feet from the stopping point of the
truck on the street or alley, as the case may be. Removal of all gar-
bage beyond thirty (30) feet from the stopping point of the truck
shall be paid on the following basis:
Thirty feet to forty feet from the stopping point: Base price
plus 25C for the first can, and 51� for each additional can.
Forty feet to sixty feet from the stopping point: Base price
plus 35C for the first can, and 15C for each additional can.

for the fist can and 25C for each additional can. All of the above
charges are based upon one pickup per week. For th se requiring more
than one pickup per week, the charge will be compu d by m®ltiplying
said charge by the number of days per week upon w1y1ch pickups are made.
There shall be added to the foregoing charges the sum of 20C
per month per can for each flight of stairs whfre collections is not
made on the ground level. Six or more steps qhall.be considered a flight
of stairs. The determination )of the questio of whether a stairway
constitutes one o more flights of stairs s all rest with Sanitation
Supervisor. Said c arge is based upon one pickup per week. For those
requiring more than a pickup per week, a charge will be computed by
multiplying said char by the number of days per week upon which pick-
ups are made.

RESOLVT by th Council of t e City of Port Orchard that the

Common Carriergranted to Lloyd W. ranquist and Walter F. Gran-
quist, co-part/a Port Orchard Garba a Service; provided, how-
ever Lloyd W. Granquist and Walter F. Granqu st, co-partners d/b/a
Port Orchard Garbage, shall maintain the aforsaid garbage dump in a
most sanitary condition, so as to comply with the laws of sanitarian
and fire prevention of the State of Washington and the subdivisions
thereof.
In the event the said Lloyd W. Granquist and Walter F. Gran-
quist, co-partners d/b/a Port Orchard Garbage Service, shall fail or
refuse to comply with any of the terms of this Resolution as herein
set forth, or any of the provisions of Ordinance No. 647, the Clerk of
the City of Port Orchard shall, upon Resolution of the City Council,
by certified mail, notify the said Lloyd W. Granquist and Walter F.
Granquist, co-partners, of such failure or refusal on their part and
specify in what respects they shall have violated the terms of this
Resolution or the said Ordinance, and in the event the said Lloyd W.
Granquist and Walter F. Grangeist, co-partners, shall fail or refuse
to comply with the terms of the said Resolution or Ordinance within
ten days of the mailing of the said notice, or if their failure or re-
fusal shall have resulted in damage to the City of Port Orchard or any

of the residents therein, and the Council of the City of Port Orchard
deems the said damage to be of such a serious nature that it instructs
the City Clerk in his ten-day notice to forfeit the said franchise at
the end of the said ten-day period, then and in either event, the fran-
chise holders shall lose all privileges herein granted to them and shall`
have no right, claim or demand upon the City of Port Orchard whatsoever
it is further hereby
RESOLVED that the rates to the customers in all areas annexed
to the City of Port Orchard since June 1, 1959, and within the area of
the common carrier permit granted to Lloyd W. Granquist and Walter F.
Granquist, co-partners, d/b/a Port Orchard Garbage Service shall con-
tinue at the previous common carrier rates until June 1, 69, at chich
time the rates shall be the same as for customers withi the City of
Port Orchard generally.
This Resolution and all ; he terms hereof shall be effective as
of June 1, 1964, /
PASSED unanimously by the beuncil of Ae City of Port Orchard,
meeting in regular session Monday, a the seg6nd reading on June 8, 1964.
