100 - Resolution - Improvement of Sidney RoadRESOLUTION $
BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Port Orchard, Washington:
1. That it is the intention of the Town Council
to order the improvement of Sidney- Street front Bay Street to
Division Street by paving the same and by constructing new curbs
and sidewalks, installing storm drains, and by the doing of
such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith;
all in accordance with plans to be prepared by the Special Town
Engineers,
2. That it is proposed to create an enlarged
District to pay the whole cost and expense of such improvement.
The boundaries of such enlarged District are hereby
specified and described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the Inner Harbor
Line and the center line of Harrison Ave.; thence 'Westerly
along the Inner Harbor Line to the Northeasterly line of
Lot 7, Block 10, also being the vouthwesterly margin of
Port Street in Sydney as recorded in Vol. l Page 1 of
Plats, records of Kitsap County; thence Southeasterly along
the Northeasterly line of Lot 7 to the West margin of
Cline Street; thence South along the ,test margin of Cline
Street to the intersection with the center line of Bank
Street produced; thence East along said center line to the
center line of Prospect Street; thence South along the
center line of Prospect Street of the Center Line of Kitsap
Street; thence along the center line of Kitsap Street to
the center line of Austin Street; thence along the center
line of Austin Street to the South margin produced of the
Alley in Block 16, Sydney; thence along said produced line
to the Northwest corner of Lot 7 said Block 16; thence
along the West line of said Lot 7 and West line of Lot 4,
Block 17 Sydney; thence Southwesterly to the Northwest
corner of Lot 6 said Block 17; thence along the West line of
Lots 6 and 9 said Block 17 and Lots 7 and 8 Block 18
Sydney produced to the South side of the alley in Block 18;
thence along said South line of alley it Blocks 18, 5 and 1 Syd-
ney to the Northwest corner of Lot 14 said Block 1, said
point being 120 feet West of the best margin of Cline St.;
thence South 120 feet West of and parallel to the West margin
of Cline St. to an intersection with the center line of
Kendall St.; thence West on the center line of Kendall St.
to the East margin of the alley produced in Blocks I and 2
Pottery Addition as recorded in Vol. 1 page 68 of Plats,
records of Kitsap County; thence South on the East margin
of the alley through said Blocks 1 and 2 &Blocks 1 and 2 of
Railroad Addition as recorded in Vol. 1 page 69 of Plats,

records of Kitsap County, produced to the center line
of Melcher St.; thence East on the center line of k1elcher
St. to the produced West margin of the alley in Block 8
of Sweanyts 2nd Addition as recorded in Vol. 2 page 180
records of Kitsap County; thence North on said produced
line and the said 1 est margin of the alley through Blocks 8
and 1 said Sweanyls lecond Addition; thence North to the
Southwest corner of Lot 3 of Aegerters Second Addition as
recorded in Vol. 2 page 38, records of Kitsap County;
thence North on the East margin of the alley in Aegerters
Second Addition and the East margin produced a distance of
491 feet; thence East to the produced East line of Lots 1 to 7

duced line to the Northeast corner of said Lot 1; thence contin-
uing on said line to a point 181.5 feet North of the North
margin of Ada Street; thence East parallel to Division St.

thence North along said test Line to the Northwest corner

Seattle Avenue; thence South on said center line to the
produced South margin of the alley in Block 11 Sydney First
Addition; thence Vuest on said South margin to the center
line of Harrison Avenue; thence North on said center line
to the Inner Harbor Line and the point of beginning,

3. That there be assessed against that portion of the
property within such enlarged district lying between the termini
of the proposed improvement and extending back from the marginal
lines thereof to the middle of the block on each side thereof, in
the mode prescribed in Section 13 of Chapter 98, Session Lads of
the State of Washington for 1911 as amended (Rem°Rev.Stat. Sec.9365),
the sum of
and the remainder of the cost and expense of said improvement shall
be distributed and assessed against all the property included in the
remainder of such enlarged District in accordance with special
benefits.
4.. That all persons who may desire to object thereto are
hereby notified to appear and p.:,esent such objections at a meeting
of the Town Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the Town
Hall in the Town of Port Orchard, Vrashington at 1� o'clock p.m.
an the 4L eigLy. of 1944, which time and place are hereby
fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement
and all objections thereto, and for determining t1e method of payment
for said improvement.
5. That the Special Town. Engineers shall submit to the
Town Council, at or prior to said date, all data and information
required by law to be submitted.
6. That the cost and expense of said improvement sha_l be
borne by and assessed against the property liable therefor as pro-
vided by law.
