RESOLUTION
_ resolved by the Council of the
Town of Port Orchard.
Section 1. That it is the inten-
tion of the Town of Port Orchard to
extend the water main at the termi-
nus of the line at the tanks on Sid- i
ney street, south on Sidney street
Ito blelcher street in accordance with
the plans and specifications for the
said improvement in the office of
the city engineer.
Section 2. That the cost of the
said extention shall be assessed
1 to the property especially benefitted
by having access to the city water
supply. It is proposed to create an.
assessment district of all the lots,
tracts and parcels of land within
the district benefitted thereby be-
tween the termini of the said ex-
tension abutting upon, adjacent,
vicinal or approximate to the said
improvement as provided by the
laws of the state of Washington.
Section 3. That it proposed to
make the assessment for the said
improvement payable in two assess -
I ments of equal amouut, the first to
it become due within thirty days af-
ter the notice of the treasurer, that
he has received the assessment roll
for collection and the second assess-
ment within one year from the date
of the said notice.
Section 4. That all persons who!
itay desire to object to the said ex -
'tension shall present their objec- 1
tions in writing to the council at
the regular meeting place in the
.town hall Port Orchard on the 21st
day of June, 1920, which is the time
and place fixed for hearing ob-
jections to the said improvement. ,
Section 5. That an engineer be!
employed for the making of the said i
improvement and that he is hereby
directed to submit to the Town Coun-
cil at or prior to the date fixed as
aforesaid for the hearing of any ob-
jections to the said proposed im-
provement a statement showing the
proportionate amount to be borne
by the property within the said pro-
posed assessment district, the value
of the real estate, exclusive of im-
provements, within the district ac-
according to the valuation last
placed on the same for purpose
of general taxation, together with
a diagram or print showing
thereon the said lots, tracts
or parcels of land especially bene-
fitted, and the estimated cost and
expense to be borne by each of said
lots, tracts or parcels of land.
