HomeMy WebLinkAbout219 - Resolution - Improvement of Railroad Avenuef I p- RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUN- CII, OF THE TOWN OF PORT ORCHARD, Section 1. That it is the intention of the Town Council to improve Rail- road Avenue in Town of Port Orchard in accordance with the plans and speci- fications for the improvement in the office of the City Engineer. Sec. 2. That to pay the cost and expense of the said improvement, it is proposed to create an enlarged Local Improvement District comprising all lots, tracts and parcels of land within limits of Town of Port Orchard abutting upon, adjacent, vicinal or proximate to the said street to be improved, to a distance back from the marginal lines thereof to the center of the blocks facing or abut- ting thereon, and to assess the cost and expense of the said improvement upon all the property so benefitted in accordance to the special benefits con- ferred upon such property in propor- tion to area and distance back from the marginal lines of said Railroad avenue as provided by the laws of the State of Washington. See.:3. That it is proposed to make the assessment for the said improve- ment to be levied as aforesaid in ten annual installments with interest at seven per cent per annum, and to issue warrants or bonds therefor pay- able out of the said district. Sec. 5. That all persons who may wish to object to the said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at the regular meeting of the Town Conacii January 1920, at the Tovrn Hall, vrhich time and place are fixed for the hearing of the objection, if any, to the said improvement. Sec. 6.
