HomeMy WebLinkAbout119 - Resolution - Improvement of Kendall StreetRESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUN- CIL OF THE TOWN OF PORT ORCHARD. ! Section 1. That it is the intention ;of the Town Council to improve Ken- dall Street, Portland Avenue, Spo- kane Avenue, Sroufe Avenue and preparing same for water mains, in !accordance with the plans, and speci- i fications for the improvement in the i office of the City Engineer. i Sec. 2. That -to pay the cost and expense of the said improvment, it is !proposed to create an assessment dis- trict of all the lots, tracts and par- cels of land specially benefitted thereby, between the termini of the said improvement abutting upon ad - jacent, vicinal or proximate to the said street- to be improved, to a dis- tance back from the marginal lines thereof to the center of the blocks facing or abutting thereon,, and to assess the cost and expense of the said improvement upon all the prop- ` erty so benefitted in accordance to the special benefits conferred upon such property in proportion to area and distance back from the marginal lines of said Taylor Street as provid ed by the laws of the state of Washington. Sec. 3. That it is proposed to make the assessment for the said im- provement to be levied as aforsaid in ten annual installments with in- terest at seven per cent per annum, and to issue warrants or bonds there- for _payable out of the said district. Sec. 5. That all persons who may wish to object to the said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at the regular meeting of the Town Council, January 7th, 1920, at the Town Hall, which time and place are fixed for the hearing of the objec- tion, if any, to the said improvement. Sec 6. That a civil engineer be employed for making such improve- ment and he is hereby directed to submit to the said Council at or prior to the said date fixed as aforesaid for I the hearing of objections to the pro- posed improvement, a; statement showing the proportionAi.. cost to be i borne by the propert 5thin the said! assessment district aggregate as-! sessed valuation,,p the real estate, 1 exclusive of t--(A— improvements with- in said d st/.� according to the valuation ced upon the same !for ge ra tion purposes, to- gethe a print showing thereon ;the -t i lots, tracts or parcels of !land specially benefitted and the es- timated cost to be borne by each of the said lots, tracts or- parcels of! land.
