HomeMy WebLinkAbout317 - Resolution - Improvement of Cline StreetZ`-' . 7it .---- BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF PORT ORCHARD` First. That it is the intention of said Town Council to order the im- provement of Cline Street, from the South margin of DeKalb street to the South margin of Kendall street, and Kendall street from the East margin of Cline street to the West margin of, Tacoma avenue, and Tacoma avenue from the South margin of Kendall` street to the South margin of Mel- cher street, and Melcher street from the West margin of Tacoma avenue to the West margin of Garrison ave- nue, and Garrison avenue from the South margin of Melcher street to the limits of said Town on the South side thereof, by cutting, filling, gravel- ling and grading said streets to an established grade, laying water mains and constructing gutters thereon in accordance with the plans and speci-' fications to be prepared therefor and filed with the Clerk of said Town. Second. That to pay the cost of said improvement, it is proposed to; create an assessment district of all •i the lots, tracts or parcels of land specially benefitted thereby between the termini of said improvement: abutting upon, adjacent; vicinal or, proximate to said part of said streetsi and avenues to be improved to a dist- ance back from the marginal lines thereof to the center of the blocks) facing or abutting thereon, and to assess the cost and expense of said improvement upon all of said prop- i erty so benefitted in accordance to the special benefits conferred upon! such property in proportion to area and distance back from the marginal lines of said Cline street as pro- vided by the laws of the State of Washington. Third. That it is proposed to make the assessment for said im- provement to be levied as aforesaid, payable in ten annual installments,: with interest at 7 per cent per an-1 num and to issue warrants or bonds therefor payable out of said district. i Fourtii. That all persons who may desire to object to said proposed im- 1 provement are hereby notified to ap- pear and present such objections at the regular meeting of this Council at the Town Hall of Port Orchard, Washington, on the 28th day of Jan-, nary A. D. 1918, at 8:30 o'clock p. m, of said day, which are hereby fixed as the time and place for hear- ing such objections. ,. Fifth.
