HomeMy WebLinkAbout415 - Resolution - Improvement of Prospect Street to a Portion of Frederick Street321 .1 in RESOLliTION ' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON. FIRST. That it is the intention of the said Town Council to order improve:.ient of Prospect street and a portion of Frederick street, in said town by grad- ing Prospect street to the full widtl: thereof, and by grading that portion of Frederick Street lying be- tween Bay Street and Prospect Street. By the construction of a six foot cement walk and cutter along the South and Easterly sides of Prospect Street. By the construction of a five foot wooden walk and gutter, and wooden bulkhead along the' North sid`3T Prospect Street be- tween Sidney Street and the East' margin of Frederick Street, also by the construction of a wooden side- walk and gutters on both sides of' Frederick Street. By constructing a sewer of proper size, the initial point of which shall be at the angle point in alley in Block 15, Sidney, continuing Wester- 1- and Northwesterly over said alley, and over Prospect, Bank, and Port Streets to deep water. SECOND. That an engineer shall submit to the Town Council at or prior to the date fixed for the hear- ing of Drotests to the said impro-v ment, the estimates: costs and ex - pence of said improvement, and a statement of the, proportionate amount thereof which should be borne by the property in the Dro- posed improvement district, and a statement of the agregate assessed valuation of the real estate exclusive of improvements within said Dro- -�osed district, according• to the valu- ation last placed upon it for the purpose of general taxation, to- gether with a diagram or print, showing thereon the lots, tracts or parcels of land, or other property, !which shall be especially benefitted, and the estimated amount of the ;cost and expense of said improve- ; ment to be borne by each lot, tract for pare^_I of land. or other property. THIRD. That to Day the cost of the said improvement, it is proposed to create an assessment district of all the lots, tracts, and parcels of land specially benefitted thereby, be- tween the termini of the said im- provement abutting upon, adjacent, vicinal, or proximate to said streets to be improved as aforesaid to a dis- i tance back of the marginal lines thereof to the center of the Blocks facing or abutting thereon, and to assess the costs and expenses of said i improvement upon all of said prop- erty to be benefitted in acordance with the special benefits to be con- ferred upon suer Droperty,in propor- tion to area and distance back from the marginal lines of the said streets so imnroved as provided by laws of the Sty+e of Washington. FOURTH. That it is proposed to make the assessment for the said improvement, to be levied as afore- said, navable in five annual install- ments, with interest at 7 per cent per annum, and to issue warrants or bond.: able out of said district. FIFTH. That n1l persons who may desire to ob;-ct to the said pro- posed improvement are hereby no- tified to appear and present such objections at the regular meeting of the Council, Mondav April 5th, 1915, at the Town Hall in Port Or- chard, at 8:30 p. ni., that being the time and place set for hearing such objections. SIXTH. That a couv of this reso- lution shall be published in the offi- cial nevi sparser of said Town by the Town Clerk for at least two consec- utive issues.
