NOTICE OF HEARING OF AS-
SESSMENT ROLL FOR THE IM-
PROVEMENT OF WOODEN
BRIDGES.
Notice is hereby given that the as-
sessment roll for Local Improvement
District No. 1 for bridges under Or-1
dinance No. 211, for the improve-,
ments consisting of a wooden bridge I
to`be—Totaled at the intersection off
DeKalb, Bay and West streets, across
Pottery Creek and also another
wooden bridge to be located at the in-
tersection of Bay street and Black
Jack creek and across said creek, in
the town of Port Orchard, in accord-
ance with the r9solutions adopted by
the town council of Po-t Orchard on
the 23rd day of .June, 1913, and the
plans and specifications therefor ap- ,
I proved by said council on the 14th
day .of July, 1913, and filed with the
clerk of said town, and creating an,
enlarged district for the payment of
the cost of said improvements by
especial assessment8 upon the proper-
ty located within said district, ac-
cording to benefits, payable by mode
of payment by warrants.
That said roll has ben set down
for hearing at the regular meeting
of the town council 4o be held at the
town hall in the town of Port Or-
chard, on the 1st day of December,
1913, at 8:00 o'clock. p. in., and all
persons who may desire to object to
said assessment -,re hereby notified
to make such objections in writing .
and to file same with the town clerk
at or prior to the date fixed for
such hearing. and at the time fixed as
aforesaid and at snch other times as
the hearine may be continued to, the
council will sit as a. board of equali-
zation for the purpose of consider-
ing such roll. and at sueh hearing or
hearings, will consider iuch objec-
tions made thereto, or. any Dart
thereof and will correct. revise. low-
er, raise, eba.nge or modify such roll
and order that such assessment be
made de novo, as to such body shall
a.DDear just and equitable, and then
proceed to confirm same by ordin-
ance.

SESSMENT ROLL FOR THE IM-
PROVEMENT OF EAST BAY
STREET.
'Notice is hereby given that the as.
sessment roll for Local Improvement
District No. 1, East Bay street, 1913,
under Ordinances No. 208 and 212,
for the improvement of East . Bay
street from the east margin of Sidney
street to the northwesterly margin
of Black Jack Creek Bridge, by grad-
ing to the established grade of said
street, that portion of the southerly
half of said street not heretofore
graded, to the full width of the
southerly margin of said portion of
Bay street, and also by cutting to the
established grade the whole of such
portion of Bay street as may be now
above the established grade thereof,
and also by constructing drains, gut-
ters, and a cement sidewalk 8 feet in
width: from the east margin of Sid-
ney street to the west margin of Har-
rison avenue, and 5. feet in width
from the east margin of Harrison
avenue to the northwesterly margin
of Black Jack Creek bridge, along
the south margin of said Bay street,
excepting that wooden crossings shall
be constructed on all cross streets, in
accordance with the established
grade of said street, and the plans
and specifications prepared therefor,
aroroved, by the council and filed with.
the clerk of said town, and the reso-
lution. adopted by the town council
on the 12th day of May, 1913, and
creating a local improvement dist-
rict therefor, and Droviding that pay-
ment for said improvement be made
by special assessments upon the prop-
erty within said district, Dayable by
the mode of payment by warrants.
That said roll has ben set down for
hearing at the regular meeting of
the town council to be held at the
town hall in the town of Port Or-
chard, on the 1st day of December,
1913, at 8:30 o'clock, p. m., and all
persons who may desire to object to
paid assessment are notified to make
such objections in writing and to file.

port Orchard, Washington, on Tkesday,
December 2, 1913, at the City Hall, be-
tween the hours of 8 o'clock A. M. and
8 o'clock P. M.' at which time and place
