RESOLUTION
Be It Resolved By The Town Coun-
cil of Port Orchard:
First: That it is the -intention of
the said 'awn council to order the im-
provement of East Bay street in saidl, (
town from the East margin of Sidney
street to the NorBhwesterly margin of
Black Jack Creek bridge, by grading)
to the established grade of said street,
that portion of the Southerly half of
said street not heretofore graded, tol
the full width on the Southerly maz•gin
of said pot lion of Bay street, and also'(
by cutting to the established grade,
the whole of such portion of said Bay
street as may now be above the es- j.
tablished grade thereof, and also by;
constructing drains, gutters, and a ee-
ment sidewalk 8 feet in width from theF

West margin of Harrison avenue, and
5 feet in width from the East margin .
of Harrison avenue to the Northwest-
erly margin' of Black Jack Creek.,

cross streets, in accordance with the
established grade of said street and

Second: That the esOrnated cost

Third: That to pay the cost of said
hliprovemen,. it is proposed to create
an assessment district of al I lots,
tracts or parcels of land specially be -
refitted thereby between the termini
of said improvement, abutting upon,
+tdjacenh vicinal or proximate to said
part of B..iY street to be improved, to a
distance back of the marginal lines
thereof to the center of the blocks fac-
ing or abutting thereon, and to assess
,he cost and expense of said improye-
ment upon all of said property so �e-
nefitted in accordance to the special
benefits conferred upon such property,,
in proportion to area and distiance
back from the marginal lines of said
hay street as provided by the laws of
the State of Washington.
Fourth: That it is proposed to
make the assessments for said im-
provement to be levied as aforesaid,
payable in five annua 1 installments,
with interest at 7 per cent per annum,
and to issue warrants or bonds there-
for payable out of said district.'
Fifth-, That all persons who may,
desire to object to said proposed im-,
provement, are hereby notified to ap-
pear and present such objections at.
;j the regular meeting of this council at
the town hall of Port! Orchard, Wash-
ington,'on the 2nd day of June A. D.
1913, at'the hour of 8:30 o'clock p, m.
of said day, which are hereby fixed as
tirite and place for hearing of such
objections.
Sixth: That a civil engineer be tm-
ployed ,for Vhe making of said improve-
ment and that he. is hereby directed
to submit to said town council at or
prior to the date fixed as aforesaid for

aggregate assessed valuation of the
real estate, exclusive of improvements,

Be it resolved by the Town council
of Port Orchard:
1st, That it is the intention of the
Town council to order an improve-
ment at or near the intersection of
DeKalb, Bay and West streets, by the
building of a bridge across the De -
Kalb street waterway, or what is
known as Pottery creek, at said point
said bridge to be 20 feet in width, 190
feet in length, with a driveway of 16
feet in width and a walk 4 feet in
width, and constructed of wooden
piles, caps and decking, in accord-
ance with plans and specifications to
be prepared therefor and filed with
the clerk of said town, said improve-
ment to be built at an estimate cost
of $13Q•0.00.
2nd, That it is the intention of the
Town council to order an improve-
ment on Bay street between Rock-
weIl avenue and Mitchell road, (the
town limits,) by the building of a
bridge across Black. Jack creek at its
intersection with said Bay street, said
bridge to be built of wooden piles„
caps and decking and to be 20 feet in
width, 290 feet in length with a drive-
way 16 feet in width and a walk 4
feet in width, in accordance with the,
plans and specifications to be prepar-
ed therefor and filed with. the clerk
of said town, said improvement to' be
built at an estimate cost of $1800.00.
,%3rd, That it is proposed bythis
council to create an enlarged district'
to pay the whole cost of said improve-
ments, the limit of which district
shall coincide with the corporate li-
mits of the town of Port Orchard,
and to assess each lot, -*act or parcel
of land located within said district, in
proportion to the special benefits con-
ferred upon said property by reasori
of such .improvements.
4th, That it is proposed to make the
assessments for said improvements to
be levied as aforesaid, payable in five
annual installments, with interest at
the rate of 7 per cent per annum, on
all unpaid amounts, and to issue war-
rants o- bonds therefor payable out
of said district.
5th, That all persons who may de-
sire to object to said improvements,
-are hereby notified to appear and pre-
scnt such objections at the regular
Meeting of the council at the town
hall of Port Orchard, Washington, on
14th day of July, A. D. 1913, at the
hour of 8:30 o'clock P. M. of said day,
which is hereby fixed as the time and
place for hearir_g cf said objections.
6th, That a civil engin er be em-
plGyed for the making of said im-
- provements, and that he is hereby di-
rected to submit to said Town coun-
cil at or prior to the date fixed as
aforesaid for the hearing of any ob-
jections to said proposed improve-
ments, plans and specifications there-
for, together with a statement show-
ing the proportionate amount to be
borne by the property within said
proposed assessment district, the ag-
gregate assessed valuation of the real
estate exclusive of improvements
within said district, according to the
valuation last placed upon same for
purposes of general taxation, togeth-
er with a diagram or print showing
thereon the said lots, tracts or par-
cels of land specially beaefitted, and
the estimated cost and expense of
such improvements to be borne by
each of said lots, tract-, or parcels of
land.
