CITY OF PORT ORCHARD AGREEMENT FOR
ATTORNEY SERVICES
THIS AGREEMENT is made effective as of the �L of a; 2015, by and between the City of Port
Orchard, a municipal corporation, organized under the laws of the State of Washington, and LaCross &
Murphy, PLLC a limited liability corporation, organized under the laws of the State of Washington, located
and doing business at 559 Bay Street, Port Orchard, WA 98366 (hereinafter the "Public Defender").
WHEREAS, on March 12, 2015, the City executed an Agreement for Attorney Services with
Cross, LaCross & Murphy, PLLC, for the provision of public defender services; and
WHEREAS, John Cross was the contact person under that Agreement; and
WHEREAS, John Cross has left the firm, and the firm is now named LaCross & Murphy, and
the new firm seeks assignment of the original Agreement to the firm of LaCross & Murphy under
Section 14, which requires that the City consent to assignment in writing; Now, Therefore, the parties
agree as follows:
TERMS.
Section 1. Amendment to Section 15. Section 15 of the Agreement dated March 12, 2015, is
hereby amended in its entirety to state the following.
Section 15. Notice.
Any notices required to be given by the City to Public Defender or by Public
Defender to the City shall be in writing and delivered to the parties at the following
addresses:

Section 2. Consent to Assignment. The City Council hereby consents to the assignment of the
Agreement dated March 12, 2015 to LaCross & Murphy, LLC.
Section 3. Amendment to Exhibit A, Section Scope of Service. Exhibit A to the Agreement
dated March 12, 2015 is hereby amended to read as follows:
