MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
RE: Marina Pump Station Restroom
Maintenance
The City of Port Orchard has constructed a restroom at the Marina
Pump Station and has designated it for public use. Due to staffing
limitations, the City cannot provide the level of maintenance
that this public restroom demands. This memorandum of understanding
between the City of Port Orchard and the Port of Bremerton is
developed to improve this public facility through better main-
tenance and security.
The Port of Bremerton agrees to the following:
1. The Port of Bremerton staff shall clean and maintain the
restroom on the same scheduled basis as other Marina facilities.
2. The Port of Bremerton shall establish and enforce hours of
operation for the restroom.
3. The Port of Bremerton shall provide a key to the restroom
to the City Public Works Department.
The City of Port Orchard agrees to the following:
1. The City of Port Orchard shall pay or reimburse the Port
of Bremerton for the cost of supplies and materials to
maintain the restroom.
2. The City of Port Orchard shall pay for the cost of repairs
to the restrooms.
3. The City of Port Orchard shall maintain existing liability
coverage and hold the Port harmless.
Either the City of Port Orchard or the Port of Bremerton may
terminate this memorandum of understanding upon twenty-four hours
of written notification to the other party.
