022-22 - Teamsters Local No. 589-Municipal Court - Contract Amendment Letter of Agreement Amendment 2Second Amendment to the Letter of Agreement by and between CITY OF PORT ORCHARD. WASI IINGTON and TEAMSTERS LOCAL NO. 589 (Representing Municipal Court Employees) This second amendment to the Letter of Agreement ("LOA") between the CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON (the "City") and the TEAMSTERS LOCAL NO. 589 representing Municipal Court Employees (the "Teamsters") addresses a change in the number of weekly hours of work needed by the Court. WHEREAS, the employee in the original LOA has changed her surname from Hardin to McNeilly; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Court has a need for Ms. McNeilly to work 28 hours a week for the Court; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Department is willing to reduce Ms. McNeilly's hours from 20 to 12 per week; NOW, THEREFORE, 1. All references to Elizabeth "Liz" Hardin shall reflect the employee's name change and shall be modified to refer to Elizabeth "Liz" McNeilly. 2. Section 1 of the LOA from January 2022 is modified as follows: Limited Term Appointment: Upon notice by the City within a reasonable period after this LOA is signed by both parties, Ms. McNeilly will be offered a non - represented limited term 12 hour per week position at the Department of Community Development. The rate of pay for the limited term position will be $25.65 per hour upon appointment and will increase to $26.41 per hour effective July 6, 2022. Ms. McNeilly's compensation and terms of employment for hours worked in the limited term position will not be covered by the collective bargaining agreement ("CBA") and instead will be governed by applicable City policy unless otherwise stated below. Section 2 of the LOA from January 2022, as revised by the first amendment, is modified as follows: Insurance and Benefits: While working full-time performing 28 hours of represented work and 12 hours of non -represented work per week, Ms. McNeilly will receive the following insurance and benefits: a. Medical Insurance: Ms. McNeilly will be offered medical insurance on the same terms as that of a full-time employee under the Teamsters CBA and LOA re: Hardin Page 2 City personnel policies, providing for a choice of medical plans that include an employee cost share of up to 10% of the premium for the chosen medical plan option and all other related benefits including HRA VEBA contributions. b. Dental Insurance: There will be no change in the dental insurance provided to Ms. McNeilly as a result of this LOA. c. Vision Insurance: There will be no change in the vision insurance provided to Ms. McNeilly as a result of this LOA. d. Life Insurance: Ms. McNeilly will be offered life insurance as if she was a full-time non -union employee, entitling her to $50,000 life and AD&D insurance provided by Standard Insurance. e. Accrual rates and other benefits: Ms. McNeilly will accrue leave including, but not limited to sick and vacation leave and any other benefits related to hours worked on the basis of her full-time hours under the CBA. 4. Except as otherwise provided in this Amendment, or any additional written Amendments, all other terms and provisions of the LOA shall remain in full force and effect. 5. This second amendment to the January 2022 LOA is effective when signed by both parties.
