B. Describe how your overall event or project will provide a community economic benefit.* Our Grand Parade, the Summer Festival, Concerts on the Waterfront and the 4th of July Fireworks Show are held in the downtown corridor and waterfront area. Folks who partake in our events also stay overnight, eat at our restaurants, shop the downtown businesses, shop grocery stores, and buy gas and souvenirs.. Plus, we have several vendors who are from out of town and stay overnight. We draw people from outside of Port Orchard and Kitsap County. Our Seagull Splat 5K run attracts runners from outside of Port Orchard as well. C. Please describe how you will measure the impact your overall event or project will have on tourism or projected increase in tourism. Please be specific and provide examples.* Our events draw guests to Port Orchard, which we obtain via zip codes from hotels (in the process of obtaining those zips), zip codes from Concerts on the Bay attendees and event registrations. Our float travels to 15-16 parades in and out of Kitsap County and is seen by thousands to include in-person and TV viewing. The Fireworks show alone draws thousands to the Port Orchard and Bremerton waterfronts, as well as boaters in our area. Please upload any additional paperwork, if needed. 2024 Fathoms O' Fun events calendar.pdf 439.43KB 2024 FOF PROJECTED BUDGET.pdf 137.81KB 2024 FOF PROJECTED OUTSIDE FUNDING SOURCES.pdf 131.4KB Discover Kitsap - Fathoms O' Fun 2704241.pdf 3.84MB 2023 Chamber Fathoms O Fun Ad copy (7).jpg 1.35MB FOF - ZIP CODES AT CONCERTS - 2023 (WITH CITY MILES).pdf 173.45KB FOF Business License-Exp 2-28-2024.pdf 920KB 2022 JLARC Report-Fathoms O' Fun + supporting documents.pdf 1.31MB Budget 4. Overall Event or Project Budget Summary A. Describe, and be specific, on what you would spend the requested lodging tax funds on.* LTAC funding would help cover: 1) event marketing, 2) general operating expenses, 3) critical float rebuild, 4) float travel & minor repairs, 5) Concerts by the Bay summer concert series, 6) Fireworks Show over Sinclair Inlet, 7)Grand Parade Traffic Control expense. B. Income Other Than Lodging Tax (from sponsorships, grants, donation and admission fees) If you anticipate receiving partial funding for this activity from another source, please list the source(s) approximate amount, and status of funding. Indicate the entry or admission fee if one will be charged. Source*Amount*Confirmed or Projected?* See attached projected funding source sheet $64,333.00 If projected, what is the anticipated receipt date? various - see source sheet TOTAL* (This is auto calculated from above) $64,333.00 C. Other Financial Information Does your overall event or project have provisions (or plans) for becoming less dependent on Lodging Tax funding? (Meaning does the overall event or project have the ability to increase revenue by charging admission, increasing fees, etc.)* More sponsorship would increase additional revenue but those dollars in our community are had to come by. The only revenue generated at an event is through sponsorships and our vendor show fees, which we are reasonable in our fees now; increasing our fees could be an option, but at a minimal increase. If not, what are your challenges of generating new revenues: Fathoms brings "free" entertainment and activities to our area. We only charge vendors for our vendor shows. We are reasonable enough in our fees for vendors to want to come to Port Orchard and increasing our fees could be negative to our event. We have worked very hard and continue to seek additional sponsorships for our events, but money is very tight in our local community. Tourism 5. Estimated Numbers of Increased Tourism *If you received lodging tax funds last year, you must attach last year’s reporting* Applicants applying for use of LTAC funds must provide estimates of how it will result in increases in the number of people traveling for business or pleasure on a trip as required by RCW 67.28.1816 The applicant hereby certifies and confirms that it does not now nor will it during the performance of any contract resulting from this proposal unlawfully discriminate against any employee, applicant for employment, client, customer, or other person(s) by reason of race, ethnicity, color, religion, age, gender, national origin, or disability. That it will abide by all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations. That it has read and understands the information contained in this application for funding and is in compliance with the provisions thereof, and; that the individual signing below has the authority to certify to these provisions for the applicant organization, and declares that he/she is an authorized official of the applicant organization, is authorized to make this application, is authorized to commit the organization in financial matters, will assure that any funds received as a result of this application are used for the purposes set forth herein, and verifies that all the information contained in this application is valid and true to the best of his/her knowledge. Direct Count: Actual count of visitors using methods such as paid admissions or registrations, clicker counts at entry points, vehicle counts, or number of chairs filled. A direct count may also include information collected directly from businesses such as hotels, restaurants, or tour guides likely to be affected by an event. Indirect Count: Estimate based on information related to the number of visitors such as raffle tickets sold, redeemed discount certificates, brochures handed out, police requirements for crowd control or visual estimates. Representative Survey: Information collected directly from individual visitors/participants. A representative survey is a highly structured data collection tool based on a defined random sample of participants, and the results can be reliably projected to the entire population attending an event and includes margin of error and confidence level. Informal Survey: Information collected directly from individual visitors or participants in a non-random manner that is not representative of all visitors or participants. Informal survey results cannot be projected to the entire visitor population and provide a limited indicator of attendance because not all participants had an equal chance of being included in the survey. Structured Estimate: Estimate produced by computing known information related to the event or location. For example, one jurisdiction estimated attendance by dividing the square footage of the event area by the international building code allowance for persons (3 square feet). 2022 Fathoms O' Fun Festival Zip Recap ROOM NIGHTS -
