Resolution of the Council of the Town of Port Orchard declaring its
intention to improve Seattle Avenue, from the South margin of Kitsap street
to the South margin of Dwight street; Harrison Avenue, from the South margin
of Kitsap street to the Yorth margin of Division street; Dwight Street, from
the mast margin of Sidney street to the lest margin of Harrison Avenue and
from the East margin of Harrison Avenue to ?lest margin of Seattle Avenue, by
clearing, grubbing and grading said streets, respectively, and constructing
gutters the_-ein, between the points above mentioned.
Be it resolved by the Council of the Tovm of Port Orchard.
Section 1. That it is the intention of the Council of the Torn of Port
Orchard to improve Seattle Avenue, from the South margin of Kitsap street to
the South margin of Dwight street; Harrison Avenue, from the.South margin
of Kitsap street to the North margin of Division street; Dwight Street, from
the East margin of Sidney street to the '."est margin of Harrison Atenut and
from the Last margin of Harrison venue to the 'Pest Margin of Seattle Avenue,.
by clearing, grubbing and grading said streets respectively, and constructing
gutters therein, betcreen the points herein mentioned, according to plans and,
s-.oecifications to be prep°:red by the city engineer under the direction of the
Council.
Section 2. That said improvement shall be made by contract to the low-
est responsible bidder; and the costs and expenses of said improvement shall
be assessed against the property abutting the line of said proposed improve-
ment, bet:7een the points above mentioned, according to the benefits derived,
as provided by la.:.
Section 3. That the Clerk of said Tom is hereb7 instructed to post at �I
least three copies of this resolution in three of the most public places in
said Town along the line of said proposed improvement; and also, to mail a
copy of this resolution to each property ormer along the line of said propose__
improvement, addressed to his last 1movm place of residence, ;7i.thin forty-
eight hours from the passage of this resolution. I
Section 4. That any protests against said proposed improvement may be
filed with the Torn Clerk on or before the 22nd. , day of Slovember, 1909, at
7 : 30 o'clock, P. 1% , at -which time any and all protests grill be heard and
considered by the Council.
