AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF EI1PLOYEES OF THE TCYN OF PORT
ORCHARD,, WASHINGTON AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 65.
BE IT ORPAI.NED BY TIM COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF rOnT ORCH&D,
WASHINGTON:
SECTIoNN 1. That commencing as of May 10, 1957 the following
Town employees shall be paid as follows: Superintendent of Public
Works, $426.67 per month; Ch; of of Police, $400.00 per month; Patrolmen,
$345.00 per month; Foreman of Water Department, $375.00 per month;
Foreman of Street Department, $375O00 per month; Police Judge, $320.00
per month; Attorney, $130,00 per month, retainer; Librarian, $95.00
per month; Janitor at Town hall, $100.00 per month; Engineer, $110.00
per month retainer; Clerk -Treasurer, $410.00 per month; Assistant
Clerk -Treasurer, $285.00 per month; regular laborers, $350.00 per month;
casual laborers, a maximum of $1099 per hour.
SECTION 2. As part of the salaries set forth above, but in
addition to the special as ount thereof, in the case of all employees
of the Town co-iered by the Statute of the State of Washington pertaining
to State Medical Aid, the Town of Port Orchard shall pay the full
amount thereof, instead of one-half the amount thereof, as specified

by statute as being mandatory, for the reason that bookkeeping expense
of deducting one-half the amount thereof from the respective salaries
exceeds the amount of the contribution normally deducted from said
wages.
ION 3. Ordinance No. 625 and all other ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
PASS BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PORT ORCHARD, with
the approval of the Mayor this 13th day of May, 1957.
