AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND
INCREASING 'THE SALARIES
OF THE EMPLOYEES OF THE
TOWN OP PORT ORCHARD
AND R.EPEAI,,ING ORDINANCE
-NO. 815.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
PORT ORCHARD:
SECTION 1: That commencing as
of February i0, 1955 the follow-
ing Town employees shall be paid
as follows: Superintendent of
Public Works, $380.00 per month;
Chief of Police, $380.00 per month;
• Police Patrolmen, $350.00 a month;
Foreman' of the Water Depart-
ment, $350.00 a month; Foreman
of the Street Department, $350.00 & i
a month; Police Tudge, $110.0.0
per month; Librarian, $95.00 per
month; Janitor, $75.00 per month;
Street Sweeper, $130.00 per month;
Clerk - Treasurer, $380.00 per
s IJ month; Assistant Clerk -Treasurer,
$270.00, per month; Regular Labor-
- ers, $1.88 per hour.
SECTION 2: As part of the salar-
ies set forth above, but in ad-
dition
to the special amounts �J
thereof, in the case of all employe-
es of the Town covered by the
statute of the State of Washing-
ton pertaining to State Medi,pal
Aid, the Town of Port Orchard
' shall pay the full amount thereof
instead of one-half the amount
thereof as specified by statute as
being mandatory for reason that 1 .
the bookkeeping expense of de-
ducting one-half the amount there-
of from the respective salaries ex- . -
ceeds the amount of the contribu-
tion normally deducted from the
said wages.
SECTION 3: Ordinance No. 615
entitled "An Ordinance Fixing and
Increasing the Salaries of the Em-
ployees of the Town of Port Or-
chard and Repealing Ordinance
• 698" be and the same hereby is
repealed.
INTRODUCED and passed unani-
mously by the members of the
Council of the Town of Port Or-
chard with the approval of the
Mayor on the 14th day of Febru-
ary, 1955.
