AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND INCREASING THE SALARIES OF THE
EMPLOYES S OF THE TOWN OF PORT ORCHARD AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO.6
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PORT ORCHARD:
SECTION 1: That commencing as of August 25, 1955 the
following Town Employees shall be paid as follows: Superintendent
of Public Works, §380.00 per month; Chief of Police, 0380.00 per
month; Police Patrolmen, 4325.00 a month; Foreman of the Water De-
partment, 4350.00 per month; Foreman of the Street iepartment,
1350.00 per month; Police Judge, 4110.00 per month; Librarian,
495.00 per month; Janitor, 4100.00 per month;
per month; Clerk -Treasurer, $38Q.00'per month; Assistant Clerk -
Treasurer, ►270.00 per month; Regular Laborers, 41.88 per hour.
SECTION 2: As part of the salaries set forth above, but
in addition to the special amount thereof, in the case of all em-
ployees of the Town covered by the statute of the State of Wash-
imgton pertaining to State Medical Aid, the Town of Port Orchard
shall pay the full amount thereof instead of one-half the amount
thereof as specified by statute as being mandantory for reason that
the bookkeeping expense of deducting one-half the amount thereof
from the respective salaries exceeds the amount of the contribution
normally deducted from the said wages.
SECTION 3: Ordinance No. 619 entitled "An Ordinance Fix-
ing and Increasing the Salaries of the Employees of the Town of Port
Orchard and Repealing Ordinance 615"be and the same hereby is re-
pealed.
INTRODUCED and paased unanimously by the members of the
Council of the Town of Port Orchard with the approval of the Mayor
on the 22nd day of August, 1955.
