An Ordinance Adopting the Budget for the Year
of 1956 by the Town of Port Orchard and Levying
a Town Tax for the Town of Port Orchard for the
Year of 1953 Providing a 'd'ax of Six 1-ii11s for
Street Purposes, One Bill for Library Purposes,
Two Mills for Park Purposes and Six 'bills for
Current xpense.
Be it ordained by the Council of the Town of Port
Orchard:
Section 1. That the proposed budget of the down of
Port Orchard for the year of 1:956, as prepared and presented by
the 'down Clerk, be, and the sai e hereby is adopted in its entirety.
Section 2. That there be, and hereby is, levied against
all the real estate and personal property within the corporate
limits of the Town of Port Orchard, ftiashington, not exempt from
taxation, for street purposes for the year of 1956 a tax of six
mills on each dollar of valuation according to the assessed value
thereof as returned by the County Assessor and equalized by the
Board1 of Equalization.
Section 3. That there be, and hereby is, levied a further
tax against the property set forth in section 2 hereof, one mill
on each dollar of valuation for library fund for the year of 1956.
Section 4. That there be, and hereby is, levied a further
tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof of two
mills on each dollar of valuation for the park fund for the year
of 1956.
Section 5. That there be, and. hereby is, levied a further
tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof of six ikuills
on each dollar of valuation for current expense fund for the year
of 1056.

Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five days from and after its passage, approval and
publication in the official paper of the Town of Port Orchard,
