HomeMy WebLinkAbout624 - Ordinance - The Assessment Roll for Local Improvement DistrictORDINANCE NO. 624 ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR LO- CAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 56 PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT TO PAY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF DIVISION AND W E S T STREETS BY INSTALLATION OF EIGHT INCH SANITARY SEWER, THREE MANHOLES AND A LAMP POLE AND SETTING UP A LO- CAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 56 FUND. WHERAS, the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 56 providing for the assess- ment to pay for thg improvement of portions of Division and West Streets by the installation of eight inch sanitary sewer, three manholes and a lamp pole was duly filed with the Clerk of, the Town Port Orchard; and WHERAS, by Resolution No. 54-3 the Council of the Town of Port Orchard did, on the 12th day of September, 1955, resolve that October 24, 1955, at the hour of 7:00 P.M., at the Council chambers of the Town of Port Orchard, there should be R public hearing on the said assessment roll; and WHEREAS, pursant to the said Resolution the Town Clerk did give notice of the time and place of the said hearing to all persons who might desire to object to the said assessment roll in the manner alnd form providediby law, to -wit: Sections 35.44.080 and • 35.44.090, Revised Code of Wash- ington; and WHEREAS, no person did ap- pear at the said hearing in per- son or make ahy objection in writing or file any written ob- jection with the Town Clerk at or prior to the said hearing date; NOW. THEREFORE, the Council of the Town of Port Orchard does hereby ordain that the assessment roll for Local Improvement Dis- trict No. 56 of the Town of Port Orchard prepared by the Town Engineer and filed -with the Clerk of the Town of Port Orchard, be and the same hereby is confirmed in , every respect. It is further hereby vrwairrr.v tnat ror the purpose of this improvement there is here- by created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement Dis- trict No. 56" and all collective assessments shall be part of the s? td fund for the payments of the warrants issued in payment of the said improvements and for no other purposes, the said warrants carrying interest at the rate of 4% per annum.
