An Ordinance Adopting the Budget for the
Year of 1955 by the Town of Port Orchard
and Levying a Town Tax for the Town of
Port Orchard for the Year of 1955 Providing
a Tax of Seven Mills for Street Purposes,
One Mlil for Library Purposes, Two Mills
for Park Purposes and Five Mills for Current
Expense.
Be it ordained by the Council of the Town of Port
Orchard:
Section].. That the proposed budget of the Town of
Port Orchard for the year of 1955, as prepared and presented by
the Town Clerk, be, and the same hereby is, adopted in its
entirety.
Section 2. That there be, and hereby is, levied
against all the real estate and personal property within the
corporate limits of the Town of Port Orchard, Washington, not
exempt from taxation, for street purposes for the year of 1955
a tax of seven mills on each dollar of valuation according to
the assessed value thereof as returned by the County Assessor
and equalized by the Board of Equalization.
Section 3. That there be, and hereby is, levied a
further tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof
one mill on each dollar of valuation for library fund for the
year of 1955.
Section 4. That there be, and hereby is, levied a
further tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof
of two mills on each dollar of valuation for the park fund for
the year of 1955.
Section 5® That there be, and hereby is, levied a
further tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof
of five mills on each dollar of valuation for current expense
fund for the year of 1955.
Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and affect five days from and after its passage, approval and
publication in the official paper of the Town of Port Orchard.
