An Ordinance Adopting the Budget for the Year of 1954 by the Town of Port Orchard and Levying e, Town Tax for the Town of Port Orchard for the Year of 1954 Providing a Tax of Nine Mills for Street Purposes, One Mill for Library Purposes, One and one-half Mills for Park Purposes, One-half Mill for Local Improvement Guarantee Fund and Three Mills for Current Expense. Be it Ordained by the Council of the Town of Port Orchard: Section 1. That the proposed budget of the Town of Port Orchard for the year of 1954, as prepared and presented by the Town Clerk., be, and the same hereby is, adopted in its entirety. Section 2. That there be, and hereby is, levied against all the real estate and personal property within the corporate limits of the Town of Port Orchard, Washington, not exempt from taxation, for street purposes for the year of 1954 a x of nine mills on each dollar of valuation according to the assessed value thereof as returned by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Equalization. Section 3. That there be, and hereby is, levied a further tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof one mill on each dollar of valuation for library fund for the year of 1954. Section 4. That there be, and hereby is, levied a further tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof of of one and one-half mills on each dollar of valuation for park; fund for the year of 1954. Section 5. That there be, and hereby is, levied a further tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof one-half mill on each dollar of valuation for local improvement guarantee fund for the year of 1954. Section 6. That there be, and hereby is,. levied a further tax against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof of three mills on each dollar of valuation for current expense fund for the year of 1954. Section 7. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days from and after its passage, approval and publication in the official paper of the Town of Port Orchard.
