An Ordinance Adopting the Bu.zget for the Year
of 1959 by the To=wn af. Port: Orchard and levying
a Town Tax for the Town of Port Orchard for the
year 1959, Providing a Tax of Nine Mills for
Street Purposes, One Mill for Library Purposes,
One Mil'- for Park. Purposes, and Four Mills for
Current Expense.
Be it ordained by the Council of the Town of Port Orchard:
Section 1. That the proposed budget of the Town of Port Orchard
for the year of 1959, as prepared and presented by the Town Clerk, be, and
the same hereby is, adopted in its entirety.
Section 2. That there be, and hereby is, levied against all the
real estate and personal property within the corporate limits of the Town
of Port Orchard, Washington, not exempt from taxation, for street purposes
for the year of 1959 a tax of nine mills on each dollar of valuation accord-
ing to the assessed value thereof as retur:ed by the County Assessor and
equalized by the Board of Equalization.
Section 3. That there be,and hereby is, levied a further tax
against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof, one mill on each dollar
of valuation for library fund for the year 1959.
Section 4. That there be, and hereby is, levied a further tax
against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof of one mill on each
dollar of valuation for the park fund for the year of 1959.
Section 5. That there be, and hereby is, levied a further tax
against the property set forth in Section 2 hereof of four ,Hills on each
dollar of valuation for current expense fund for the year of 1959.
Section 6. That this ordinance shall he in full force and effect
five days from and after its passage, approval and publication in the offi-
cial paper of the Town of Port Orchard.
