An Ordinace amenclmng.Ordinance No.117 regulating places and
buildings where intoxicating liquors may be sold and providing a penalty
for violation thereof adopted by the Town Council of Port :Orchard on
the 4th day of April, 1908
Be it ordained by the Town .Council of the Turn .of Port Orchard;.
Section 1e,
That Paragraph 3 of :Section 1 of Ordinace No�117 regulating
places where intoxicating liquors may be sold and provided a penalty
Town Council o -f Port , Orchard . for a violation thereof g'�assed by the on - the 4th day of April, 1908, be ammended to read as follows:
• 3rdthe whole of the inside of said buildings shall consist
of but one,` siggle room with no pat:tttions, or rear rooms, or side
rooms except as herein mentioned, where persons can hide from view
from the sidewalk in front o4- the building, except that there may be
storage and toilet rooms to .-b'e used strictly for storage and toliet
• purposes only when so 1ocgted as to afford an unobstructed view of
the whole room used for the sale of intoxicating liquors from the
sidewalk in front of the build% Provided10 that this ordinace shall
• not be construed to prevent one,. de entrance to the room used for
sale of intoxicating liquors from rooms i tae same or adjoining
building, if such adjoining rooms have a„g ass front extending the
entire width of such room, which said glass front shall begin not
more than four and one-half feet above the level of the sidewalk in
front of suc om and extend upward at least eight feet above the
level of the,si ewalk, and Provided further, that no intoxicating
liquorshall'be sold, served, delivered, or permitted to be consumed
in such adjoining room, by any person
Section 11
That Paragraph 4 of Section 1 of the said Ordinace No117
be amended to read as follows,

• ceding section of this ordinance, and such storage or toilet rooms,.
if they have any opening into the room used for the sale of intoxica
ing liquors, shall have no other opening from the outside of such
• room or from adjoining buildings

Thatball ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict•
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed

her�as, it is deemed for the best interest of the Town of Port Orchard
to build End construct a side -walk on the forth side of Bay Street, between
the the points hereinbefore mentioned, for the purpose of public travel;

Now Tierefore, -Be it Resolved by the Council of the Town of Port Orchard
'1. Tht it is the intention of the Council of the Town of Port Orchard
to improve Bay Street from the Vest marlin of Lot 1, Block 12, to the rest
margin of the side -walk in front of Davies' store on Lot 4, Block 13, of the '
Town !Mat >f Sidney, by the construction of a plank side -walk along the =north
side side)f said Bay Street, between the points above designated. Said side-
walk. to beof the uniform width of nine feet and constructed both as to mater-'
ial and wakmanship according to plans and specifications to be filed with thef+
Town Clerk
2. Tht the property owners along -the line of said proposed improvement
may within30 days after the pazsage of this resolution build said side -walk
according o the ,plans and specifications to be filed with the Town Clerk,

property orders who may desire tobuild saidside-walk in front of their re -
s active p ernes -'shall signify their willingness so to do in writing and
file the sae with the Town Clerk on or before the time hereinafter fixed for
the hearingof protests; otherwise, said improvement shall be made by contract'„
to the lowet resy�onsible bidder, and the costs and expenses thereof shall be
assessed agiinst the property abutting on the North side of said Bay Street,
between theoints above mentioned, according to the benefits derived, as pro-
vided. by 1a.
3, hat the clerk of said Town is hereby instructed to .:post at least
three eop.es of this resolution in three of the most public places in said
Town, one of whic'i shall be on the line of said proposed improvement, within
24 hours Tion the date hereof.
40 That, any protests against said proposed improvement may be filed with f'
the Town. Clerk on+r before_ the 15th., day of February, 1909, at x,30 o'clock
P. h., at which ti'.e any protests will be heard and c.onsiderea by the Council,
