Street. her�as, it is deemed for the best interest of the Town of Port Orchard to build End construct a side -walk on the forth side of Bay Street, between the the points hereinbefore mentioned, for the purpose of public travel; F _ Now Tierefore, -Be it Resolved by the Council of the Town of Port Orchard '1. Tht it is the intention of the Council of the Town of Port Orchard to improve Bay Street from the Vest marlin of Lot 1, Block 12, to the rest margin of the side -walk in front of Davies' store on Lot 4, Block 13, of the ' Town !Mat >f Sidney, by the construction of a plank side -walk along the =north side side)f said Bay Street, between the points above designated. Said side- walk. to beof the uniform width of nine feet and constructed both as to mater-' ial and wakmanship according to plans and specifications to be filed with thef+ Town Clerk 2. Tht the property owners along -the line of said proposed improvement may within30 days after the pazsage of this resolution build said side -walk according o the ,plans and specifications to be filed with the Town Clerk, _ t • as ��loresa�., in ±- rot of their respecU�.ve properties; provided, that the property orders who may desire tobuild saidside-walk in front of their re - s active p ernes -'shall signify their willingness so to do in writing and file the sae with the Town Clerk on or before the time hereinafter fixed for the hearingof protests; otherwise, said improvement shall be made by contract'„ to the lowet resy�onsible bidder, and the costs and expenses thereof shall be assessed agiinst the property abutting on the North side of said Bay Street, between theoints above mentioned, according to the benefits derived, as pro- vided. by 1a. 3, hat the clerk of said Town is hereby instructed to .:post at least three eop.es of this resolution in three of the most public places in said Town, one of whic'i shall be on the line of said proposed improvement, within 24 hours Tion the date hereof. 40 That, any protests against said proposed improvement may be filed with f' the Town.
