The Finance Committee of the Town of Port Orchard,
4lashington met by consent in the Committee room in the Hit.
sap County Bank at 1Q:15 o v clock A. T�I. on Tuesday, July 2nd
1935 with the following members present: Frank Givens, Mayor,
and J. TAT. Peterson, Town Treasurer. W. 3. 'Stevenson, Coun-
cilman,was absent. P. E. Langer, President of the Kitsap
County Bank, met with the Committee.
Frank Givens as Chairman called the meeting to or-
der and J. Id. Peterson acted as '"ecretary as provided by the
1935 Session Laws.
The interest to be paid on the average daily De-
posits of Town of Port Orchard funds by the bank v as' con-
sidered. The Tovin Treasurer favored the payment of a specified
rate on all the average daily deposits. President Langer
offered to pay the regular three percent interest on the
funds placed in the 10:avings Account, or such rate as was
fixed by the Banking Department; the funds in the checking
account to draw no interest on account of the bank handling
a large number of checks and keeping the account.
The offer of the Bank by its -
President was accepted.
