The estimate assumes a 2 -story, 3 bedroom, 2,000 square foot house with an attached 400 square foot garage. The exact fees will vary depending on factors including but not limited to the house size, location within the city, lot characteristics, and number of fixtures. This is not an exhaustive list. Other fees may apply as there are too many site -specific and/or project -specific variables. The Utility Connection, Concurrency, Fire Sprinkler, and Electrical are listed below for your consideration. Fees due. The plan review fee and technology fee must be paid when the application is submitted. All other fees listed on the building permit must be paid when the building permit is issued. Fixture fees. The estimate calculates the mechanical and plumbing fixture fees using those frequently found in a home of this size: AC, clothes washer, cook stove, ERV, fans, fireplace, gas furnace, gas pipe system, gas water heater, clothes washer, dishwasher, hose bibbs, tub/showers, and toilets. Fees will vary depending on your project. Impact fees. Impact fees are assessed on new development for a proportionate share of the capital costs for city parks, road plans, and school facilities. Park impact fees are determined by number of bedrooms. School impact fees are based on square footage. Traffic impact fees are in the Transportation Impact Fee Study and Schedule. Regulations are found in Port Orchard Municipal Code (POMC) 20.182. Storm Drainage Capital Facility Fee. Storm Drainage CFC can vary. The amount shown in this example is for 1 ISU, which is typical for most new SFRs. Regulations are found in POMC 13.06. Utility Connection fees. The estimates below are for connecting to City of Port Orchard Utilities. A separate permit is required and the connection fees are paid on it. Fees must be paid when the building permit is issued. If your service provider is West Sound Utility District or Bremerton Utilities, please contact them for information. Water Connection Estimate: $14,396.49 Fees (3/4" meter) NOTE: If a front footage fee is required, it will be calculated at $140.46 per lin. ft. of frontage. Sewer Connection Estimate: $15,399.57 Fees (1 ERU) NOTE: If a front footage fee is required, it will be calculated at $140.46 per lin. ft. of frontage. Concurrency. An unexpired City -issued Capacity Reservation Certificate (CRC) is required for water, sewer, and transportation (or water/sewer availability letters if connecting to a different utility district). If a certificate has not already been issued, a separate CRC application is required and the fees are due when the application is submitted. If water, sewer and transportation are all required, the total fee is $460.00 ($150 each type + $10 technology fee). Fire Sprinklers. If a fire sprinkler system is required, a separate permit application and fees are required. Fees are calculated based on construction costs and are paid when the permit is issued. Electrical permit. Port Orchard does not issue electrical permits. Contact State L&I for information. Other fees. Other permit processes and fees may be required. It depends on your project.
