RESOLUTION NO. 006-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING
THE LODGING TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATION FOR 2026
FUNDING ALLOCATION.
WHEREAS, on October 14, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution No. 064-25,
confirming the Mayor's appointment to the Committee; and
WHEREAS, on November 10, 2025, the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee met to discuss
the criteria of the proposals and timeline of the acceptance; and
WHEREAS, on November 17 and November 28, 2025, notices were sent to the City's
newspaper of record and emailed to past participants stating the City was accepting proposals for
Hotel/Motel Lodging Tax funding for 2026; and
WHEREAS, proposals were due to the City Clerk no later than 2:00pm on December 1,
2026, However, an extension was granted December 3, 2025, to extend the submittal date to
December 5, 2025, in which 8 proposals were received; and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 2025, the committee met with each of the applicants who
presented their proposals for funding and reviewed the proposals coming to a consensus on the
recommended allocation for Council consideration; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council accepts the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee's 2026 lodging
tax recommendations as follows:
