CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Putaansuu called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Roll call was taken by the City Clerk as follows:

Staff present: Long Range Associate Planner Sallee, City Clerk Rinearson, and Police Chief Marti.
1. Creation of a Golf Cart Zone in the McCormick Woods Community
Mayor Putaansuu and Police Chief Marti discussed the proposed golf cart zone. The Council took
comments from the residents. Some of the residents supported the idea, some were opposed to
having them, and others had safety concerns.
Comments from the residents were:
1. Should the golf carts be electric or gas;
2. Concerns of vehicle speeds could cause safety issues with carts;
3. Should the carts be restricted to just the drive isle of the road;
4. Carts using the shoulder could create unsafe conditions for pedestrians;
5. How would this effect private roads in McCormick Woods; and
6. Should there be a requirement of headlights and blinkers.
The Mayor proposed to publish a survey to measure what the residents of McCormick Woods are
in support or opposition of having a golf cart
