Memorandum of Understanding
Between the Port of Bremerton and the City of Port Orchard
Contract No. 049-26
Regarding Maintenance and Repair of the Retaining Wall Mural
This Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") is entered into by and between the Port of
Bremerton ("the Port") and the City of Port Orchard ("the City") for the purpose of defining
responsibilities related to the mural installed on the Port -owned retaining wall.
1. Installation and Maintenance
The City agrees to fund the initial installation of the mural and to be responsible for all
ongoing maintenance and repair of the artwork, including preservation of its appearance
and structural integrity.
2. Graffiti and Vandalism Response
The City agrees to promptly remove, cover, or otherwise remediate all graffiti or other
vandalism affecting the muralto maintain a clean and presentable condition.
3. City Responsibilities
The City agrees to ensure the mural does not fall into disrepair and will take reasonable
steps to support the long-term appearance, safety, and upkeep of the site.
4. Term
This MOU remains in effect unless modified orterminated through written agreement
executed by both parties.
