CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Mayor Tim Matthes called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken by the City Clerk as follows: Councilmember Chang Present Councilmember Childs Present Councilmember Clauson Present Councilmember Lucarelli Present Councilmember Putaansuu Present Mayor Pro-Tern Ashby Present Mayor Matthes Present Staff present: City Clerk Rinearson, City Treasurer Martin, and Office Assistant Floyd. A. Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Matthes led the audience and Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Public Hearing A. Proposed 2016 Budget Staff Report: City Treasurer Martin presented the staff report, noting a Public Hearing on the proposed 2016 Budget is required on or before the first Monday of December. The hearing allows Council to take public input, consider public comments, and make any changes as indicated by the majority of the Council. Citizens and community organizations are encouraged to participate by providing the Council with their priorities for future infrastructure priorities, public safety enhancements, cultural and recreational opportunities, and other public services. Following citizen comments, the public hearing will be closed and the Council may continue with its deliberations concerning the 2016 Budget. If the Council has any additional changes, these should be conveyed to staff so that a final 2016 Budget can be presented for adoption on December 8, 2015. Mayor Matthes opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. Minutes of December 7, 2015 Page 2 of 2 Nick Whittleton stated at the last meeting, there was a $50,000 grant finalized for stormwater. It would be nice if we could take that money and apply it to the GIS, rather than hiring a new employee, and leverage that money into $100,000. There being no further testimony, Mayor Matthes closed the public hearing at 7:03 p.m . There being no further discussion from Council, Mayor Matthes adjourned the meeting. 3. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m. No other action was taken.
