Subject: POCEC Shoreline - 6/28/24 Design Mtg
Quick summary on directions from today:
• Our shoreline work is now officially called "replacement", not "restoration", per DFW.
• Eco-blocks with tidepools are not acceptable to DFW. They are now deleted from the project.
• Path to the water is not feasible due to required size of rocks to stay in place. This will be
eliminated from the design.
NOTE: Nick needs to amend RCO grant application for the above revisions. The rest of the
previous design remains as is.
• Over -water deck transparency requires grates: 50% of deck over water needs to be grates.
The grates need to be 60% open. These are our options, in order of preference — Joanne will
discuss with DFW & USAGE before we revise drawings:
O 1st choice: keep grating on water side for the length of the deck.
O 2nd choice -
O 3rd choice: 100% grates.
