Visual was successful. 1. Call to Order -Opening Mayor Pro -tern Morrissey called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm. He welcomed everyone and thanked the business for hosting the meeting. In addition, provided the public with the format of the meeting. 2. Council Presentations A. Presentation by each Councilmember Each Councilmember took turns providing information on the happenings of the City. The topics included the following: • Council roles, structure and communicating with Council • How the public can receive information through the City's website and social media postings • Downtown projects such as Bay Street Construction, Community Center, Orchard Street Plaza, Downtown Building Refacing Grant Program, and Marina Pump Station • Efforts were put in for the downtown beautification and repairing for FIFA • Road projects: Bethel Phase 1, Bethel Lund Roundabout, Bethel/Lincoln Minutes of June 4, 2026, Town Hall Meeting 1 Docusign Envelope ID: E59D1 134-A66D-88A4-835F-6B38F9031 E76 Roundabout and Sidney Nonmotorized Road project • The importance of how the Comprehensive Plan plays in the City and future projects and Parks and Recreation • Upcoming projects: Sherman Stormwater Park, Givens Park Masterplan, Veterans Park, and Parks Levy • Financial stability of the City, Financial Audits, traffic data, and police presences 3. Mayor Remarks Mayor Putaansuu spoke on the following: • Update on the Department of Community Development on processes and customer experience • New permitting software • Training • Staff changes, including possible interlocal agreement with South Kitsap Fire & Rescue • Givens Center and Kitsap County's plan to sell the building • Updates on other projects happening in the City such as Ruby Creek Park & Ride, Anderson Hill Roundabout, Sedgwick & Hwy 16 Roundabouts, and Old Clifton Intertie/Water rights 4. Q&A Session The public had the opportunity to ask questions of the Mayor and Council. Most of the questions stemmed around Kitsap County's Givens Center and how citizens and organizations are not going to be able to provide services to residents. Another topic that was asked were questions centered around the senior center and how the City should or could be providing an alternative space. 5. Adjournment Mayor Pro -tern Morrissey adjourned the meeting at 7:22 pm.
