Hi, I'm Councilmember Heidi Fenton. I have main aine7d a per€ect
attendance record, never missing a City Council Ifting, work study,
or committee session.
On June 12, Councilmember Worden called my daughter to discuss
allegations against me —before informing me. This set a precedent of
unprofessionalism and caused unnecessary harm to my family.
On June 16, a special meeting was scheduled at 4 p.m. with the City
Attorney, Councilmembers Morrissey and Worden, and my daughter. I
canceled it, as it felt like a setup, and retained legal counsel.
That same day in executive session, I was told to resign or face
charges from a public works employee over a June 11 incident at
Givens Park. I have seen no written complaint, disciplinary action, or
investigation. do not know the accuser and am being threatened
without anyirocess. The Council lifted privacy protections for this
meeting, so I can discuss it publicly.
I asked Mayor Pro Tern Morrissey for time to consider these new
allegations. He demanded l decde immediately. I stated twice that I
would not resign. Feeling bullied and intimidated, with no time to
think and no evidence or completed investigation provided, I finally
rented just to end the meeting. The Council and City Attorney gave

The next day, I emailed the Mayor, City Attorney, and my lawyer that I J7' -,L
was not resigning. --
Nevertheless, the Council, Mayor Putaansuu, and City Attorney
announced on the government media page that I was resigning due to
alcohol -related allegations. No documentation or investigation exists.
This is defamation'
I emailed Mayor Putaansuu, copied to all Council members, about the
Mayor's repeated discrimination against me. Councilmember
Morrissey has agreed I have a target on my back.
This Council except Councilmember Dedman, the Mayor, and City
Attorney have violated the Open Public Meetings Act.
Every year the Mayor and Council go to Olympia for a public lobbyist
meeting. After one, Mayor Putaa suu asked Councilmember Trenary
ifs -anted to drive because sAhad "had too much wine." Trenary
said no. I will repeat this under oath. At the last meeting, the Mayor
brought old-fashioned mix for himself and Councilmember Morrissey.
It is "do as I say, not as I do."
