A RESOLUTION OF THE CTIY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING MONDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2007, AS A CTIY HALL
CLOSURE
WHEREAS, December 25, 2007, Christmas Day, falls on a Tuesday and it is
anticipated that there will be minimal public use of City services on Monday, December 24,
2007,and
WHEREAS, the Monday closure has been requested by employees of the City of
Port Orchard and it will increase staff morale to remain closed to the public on Monday,
December 24, 2007, this year only; now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: the City of Port Orchard offices will be closed to the public
on Monday, December 24, 2007, this year only. With the approval
of their Supervisor, staff has the option of: (1) using their accrued
vacation leave, personal or floating holiday, or comp time; (2)
working during the closure; or (3) taking leave without pay if they
choose not to work during the closure.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor
and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 22nd day of October 2007.
