A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
AN AMENDMENT TO THE BHC CONSULTANTS CONTRACT
FOR ADDITIONAL WORK REQUESTED TO THE 2008 SEWER
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BEING CHANGE ORDER NO.2.
WHEREAS, the City of P01t Orchard approved authorized the Mayor to sign a
contract with BHC Consultants on November 13, 2007 in the amount not to exceed
$40,000.00 for the preparation of a Technical Memorandum; and
WHEREAS, the City of P01t Orchard issued a second contract to BHC
Consultants on February 12, 2008 in the amount not to exceed $so,ooo.oo for the
preparation of a Sanitary Sewer Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of P01t Orchard directed Staff to prepare the South Kitsap
Industrial Area (SKIA) Infrastructure Assessment & Technical Memorandum with this
work added to the second contract with BHC Consultants on December 23, 2008, being
Change Order No.1;
WHEREAS, the Utility Committee has determined that additional work
associated with the 6-year CIP, odor control improvements at McCormick PS#2 and a
Sewer Report for the Tremont Street Widening project (including sewer basin analysis
at Sidney/Sedgwick) must be provided to complete the 2008 Sewer Comprehensive
Plan, being Change Order No. 2; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute Change Order
No. 2 (Exhibit A) for the additional work requested to complete the 2008
Sewer Comprehensive Plan.
PASSED by the City Council ofthe City ofP01t Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 24th day of ·ch 20 9.
