A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT
ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY FOR
THE FY 2010-2011 PHASE II STORMWATER
PASS-THROUGH GRANT
WHEREAS, In August the City received notification that a Phase II Storm water
Pass-through Grant had been offered to the City; and
WHEREAS, the grant is a $so,ooo grant, no City match required, to be used in
compliance with the City's Phase II National Pollution Discharge Elimination System
(NPDES) Permit; and
WHEREAS, the grant will be used in 2010 to fund an Engineering Tech II
position to develop a report to plan for monitoring on the next permit cycle, perform
mapping or geographic information systems of municipal separate storm sewer systems
(MS4s) for the illicit discharge detection and elimination section of the NPDES Permit,
and perform public education and outreach activities; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The Council authorizes the Mayor to sign the grant
agreement for the FY 2010-2011 Phase II Stormwater Pass-
Through Grants Program Agreement between the State of
Washington Department of Ecology and the City of Port
Orchard.
