036-11 - Resolution - Allocation of Additional Funding for Jingle Bell Run Event Off-Duty OfficerIntroduce d by: Requested by: Drafted by: Introduced: Adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 036-11 City Clerk City Co un cil City Clerk Octobe r 25, 20 11 October 25, 2011 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE COMMUNITY EVENT FUND 107 TO COVER OFF-DUlY POLICE OFFICER COSTS DURING THE JINGLE BELL RUN EVENT WHEREAS, at its October 18, 2011, work study session , the Council determined it was in the community's best interest to allo cate additional funding from the Community Event Fund 107 to offset off-duty police officer costs during the Jingle Bell Run event; a nd WHEREAS, The Chi ef of Poli ce estimates the costs of off-duty poli ce officers to be in the r ange of $6so to $940; n ow, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD , WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: THAT: The City Council a uthorizes the allocation of additional fu nds from the Community Event Fund 107 t o cover off-duty police officer cost s during the Jingle Bell Run being held Saturday, December 3, 2011, in an amount not to excee d $1,000.
