AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 782 SECTIONS 1-6
AS CODIFIED AT CHAPTER 10.80 OF THE PORT ORCHARD
MUNICIPAL CODE AND ELIMINATING THE TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
BUREAU
WHEREAS, in 1967 City Council adopted Ordinance No. 782 establishing the
Traffic Violations Bureau (Bureau) to assist the Municipal Court with clerical work for traffic
cases; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 782 establishing the Bureau was codified in the Port
Orchard Municipal Code at Chapter 10.80; and
WHEREAS, the Bureau is no longer used and is therefore obsolete; now
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 782 Sections 1-6, as codified at Chapter 10.80 of
the Port Orchard Municipal Code, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after
posting and publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be published in lieu
of the entire Ordinance, as authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor
and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 14t" day of May 2007.
