The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular
Council meeting held February 13, 2006.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2005 AS ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 1958 TO RECOGNIZE CHANGES TO CERTAIN
REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES NOT ANTICIPATED AT THE TIME
OF PASSAGE OF THE 2005 BUDGET
Copies of Ordinance No. 003-06 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 003-06 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2005 AS ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 1958 TO RECOGNIZE CHANGES TO CERTAIN REVENUES
AND EXPENDITURES NOT ANTICIPATED AT THE TIME OF PASSAGE OF
THE 2005 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard adopted its 2005 Budget in Ordinance No. 1958; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to keep current on budget amendments; and
WHEREAS, during the fiscal year, the City received over $8,400.00 in K-9 donations for the
Special Investigation Unit Fund in excess of estimated revenues; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to make adjustments to accounts and/or funds by means of
appropriation adjustments that could not have been anticipated at the time of passage of the 2005 Budget;
and
WHEREAS, the source of revenue for the additional appropriation will come from the K-9
donations; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the 2005 Budget be amended to reflect the following appropriation of
revenue received in excess of anticipated amounts in the Special Investigative Unit Fund: $8,400.00
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting
and publication as required by law. A summary of this ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire
ordinance, as authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard and signed by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 13th day
