ORDINANCE NO. 1958
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2005 AND LEVYING A TAX
SUFFICIENT TO RAISE $229,117 FOR CURRENT EXPENSE PURPOSES AND
$759,643 FOR STREET PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the preliminary budget for the calendar year 2005 was submitted to the City
Council on October 22, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on December 6, 2004 regarding the
preliminary budget for calendar year 2005; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the budget was on file with the City Clerk for examination by the
public during the time it was considered by the City Council; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year 2005, a
copy of which is on file with the City Clerk, is hereby adopted in its entirety as the final annual budget of the
City of Port Orchard for calendar year 2005.
Section 2. That there be and hereby is levied against all of the real estate and personal
property within the corporate limits of the City of Port Orchard, not exempt from taxation, a tax sufficient to
raise a total of $988,760.
Section 3. That there be levied a tax sufficient to raise $229,117 for Current Expense
purposes and $759,643 for Street purposes.
Section 4. That the total budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year 2005 shall be as
recapitulated below:

Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting and
publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire
ordinance, as authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 131h day of December 2004.

Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
