1938 - Ordinance - Amending the 2004 BudgetORDINANCE NO.1938
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE 2004 BUDGET, ORDERING APPROPRIATION OF
FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING A BUDGETARY TRANSFER FROM THE
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND TO THE CUMULATIVE RESERVE FOR
EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard declared two police vehicles surplus at the
February 9, 2004 Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, these two vehicles were sold at auction for a combined total of
$3,710.00 and the proceeds were deposited in the Current Expense Fund; and
WHEREAS, the cost of three additional police vehicles purchased in 2004 exceeds
the budget appropriation in the Cumulative Reserve for Equipment Replacement Fund; and
WHEREAS, the budget shortfall constitutes a sudden and unexpected occurrence
that could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time the budget was adopted; now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the 2004 Budget is amended to include the following budget
appropriations and transfer:
An amount of $3,710.00 from the Current Expense Fund to the Cumulative
Reserve for Equipment Replacement Fund.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, signed by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this day of 24t' day of May 2004.
