07/12/1999 - Regular - MinutesPort Orchard, Washington July 12, 1999 Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, called to regular session by Mayor Leslie J. Weatherill at 7:30 P.M. at City Hall, 216 Prospect Street. Council members present: Clauson, Morrison, Wyatt, Geiger, Powers, Van Zee, and Stansbery. Staff present: City Clerk Parks, Deputy Clerk Merlino, Acting Police Chief Loftin, City Engineer Curies, City Attorney Montgomery, and Fire District No. 7 Contract Representative Assistant Chief Snow. Councilman Stansbery led the audience and Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Weatherill asked for audience comments for items not listed on this agenda. No response was received. On motion by Councilwoman Powers, seconded by Councilman Morrison, Council approved Ordinance No. 1764 establishing business hours for all city offices. On motion by Councilman Geiger, seconded by Councilman Wyatt, Council approved the following consent agenda items as follows: a. Minutes of the following Council meetings: (1) June 28, 1999 regular meeting, (2) June 29, 1999 special executive session b. Approval of Claim Warrants Number 31065-31163 in the amount of $347,955.20 and June 1999 Payroll Warrants 131902-132078 in the amount of $227,877.60. Authorization for Mayor Weatherill and City Clerk Parks to sign a contract for medical services with Occupational Medicine Associates of Kitsap for required occupational medical exams. On motion by Councilman Van Zee, seconded by Councilman Wyatt, Council approved Change Order No. 1 for the City Hall window covering project in the amount of $164.36. On motion by Councilman Morrison, seconded by Councilwoman Powers, Council authorized the City Engineer to purchase a new Public Works Filing System for the Engineer/Planning and Building Department. On motion by Councilman Morrison, seconded by Councilman Clauson, Council authorized the City Engineer to contact Art Anderson and Associates and advise them to proceed with the "As -Built' projects and update the city hall blue prints. On motion by Councilwoman Powers, seconded by Councilman Stansbery, Council authorized the City Engineer to surplus the piano in the Active Club Building and dispose of it in the best interest of the City.
