04/08/1998 - Special - MinutesPort Orchard, Washington April 8, 1998 Acting Mayor Pro-tem Geiger called the Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, to order in special session at 7:30 P.M. at City Hall, 216 Prospect Street. Council members present: Clauson, Wyatt, Geiger, Van Zee and Stansbery. Staff present: City Planner Gross and City Clerk Parks. Acting Mayor Pro tem Geiger reopened the Draft Zoning Ordinance Public Hearing which was continued from March 24, 1998. The purpose of holding a series of continued meetings that constitute one public hearing is to allow a detailed and thorough review and discussion on the Draft Zoning Ordinance. Public input is invited and encouraged during discussions on the Draft Zoning Ordinance. City Planner Gross confirmed review of the Draft Zoning Ordinance is nearing completion. Two tables and the Comprehensive Plan Map are remaining to complete the review. Council members agreed that in addition to the scheduled continuation April 9, 1998 (7:30 PM) they would set April 21, 1998 (and April 22, if needed) as the date to review the map City Planner Gross started discussion by clarifying question from previous meeting that the city does have minimum width requirements for mobile homes of 20 feet.
