06/10/1998 - Work Study - MinutesPort Orchard, Washington June 10, 1998 Council of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, called to order for a Study Session by Mayor Protem John Clauson at 7:30 PM at City Hall, 216 Prospect Street. Council members present: John Clauson, Rick Wyatt, Robert Geiger, Warren Van Zee and Tom Stansbery. Staff present: City Engineer Curies, and Deputy Clerk Merlino. City Engineer Curies opened meeting stating the purpose of this Study Session is to discuss the future sewer service for residents along State Route 166, west of the City. One citizen attended, notices had been mailed to all residents in the area. City Engineer discussed similar sewer extension and a project cost of $100.00 per foot, or $1,000,000. to extend the sewer service. Council discussed alternative methods for pumping of the sewage and requested the City Engineer to contact several consultants and seek opinions on what the cost would be to develop the mound system.
