AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2004 AND LEVYING
A TAX SUFFICIENT TO RAISE $260,276 FOR CURRENT EXPENSE
PURPOSES AND $695,860 FOR STREET PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the preliminary budget for the calendar year 2004 was submitted to
the City Council on October 6, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on December 1, 2003 regarding
the preliminary budget for calendar year 2004; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the budget was on file with the City Clerk for examination
by the public during the time it was considered by the City Council; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year
2004, a copy of which is on file with the City Clerk, is hereby adopted in its entirety as the final
annual budget of the City of Port Orchard for calendar year 2004.
Section 2. That there be and hereby is levied against all of the real estate and
personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Port Orchard, not exempt from taxation,
a tax sufficient to raise a total of $956,136.
Section 3. That there be levied a tax sufficient to raise $260,276 for Current
Expense purposes and $695,860 for Street purposes.
Section 4. That the total budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year 2004
shall be as recapitulated below
