AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE 5.32.070 PROVIDING
FOR POLICING RELATING TO THE LICENSING FOR CARNIVALS AND
CIRCUSES.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1856 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days afler publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1856 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

ORDINANCE NO. 1856
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE 5.32.070 PROVIDING
FOR POLICING RELATING TO THE LICENSING FOR CARNIVALS AND
CIRCUSES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1096, codified as Chapters 5.32.010 through 5.32.100 of the City
of Port Orchard, relates to circuses and carnivals, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 5.32.070 of the Port Orchard Municipal Code is amended to read as
follows:
5.32.070 Providing for policing. Before any person shall operate any amusement
licensed under the provisions of this chapter he shall provide sufficient information to the
chief of police as to show that adequate policing will be provided; such that persons attending
any such amusement shall have reasonable police protection and supervision.
SECTION 2. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this
ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting and
publication as required by law. A sumrnaly of this Ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire Ordinance, as
authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 13Ih day ofMay 2002.
